Raekwon Says Diddy Should Help Shyne Avoid Deportation, "I Don't See Why He Wouldn't" [Video]
Raekwon also said he felt Shyne should be allowed to legally stay in New
"That's f*cked up, that's politics," Raekwon explained in an interview. "Now the politic game that wanted him in this environment gotta support him and help him out. The minute they help him out and make him feel like the n*gga he's supposed to be, you know what I mean, I think that he can live. They can't stop a man from wanting to feed himself and feed his family. And if this is where he resided to doing this at, you can't take that away from a man. Like come on, n*gga been away from his family in a long time and I run with n*ggas that did that amount of time as well and it's like, yo, you always wanna see them n*ggas overcome so it's only right that he gets that opportunity. Of course [Diddy should help.] I don't see why he wouldn't. Maybe somebody gotta ask him right. Or maybe he wants to do it anyway. So you know it's not up to me to judge a n*gga or pull a n*gga card on what he should do, it's just about what he wanna do." (Absolut TV)

I'm ain't used to Puff doing good stuff." (Shuddup)
BIRDMAN DISAGREES WITH JAYZ AS NO 1 MC IN THE GAME
Cash Money Records co-founder Baby has spoken out against Jay-Z being named the No. 1 "Hottest In The Game" emcee and said Lil Wayne should have secured the top spot.
"I don't think he a number one emcee in no kinda way," Baby said in an interview. "Wayne the best he do the most and he make the most money. I dont think no n*gga in the business make more money than us. How could you be the best if you don't make the best money, the most money and you don't do the most. Lyrically, come on man be for real man can't nobody f*ck with Wayne. And to me, if you number one and you aint getting no money it don't mean nothing. Who's making the most money. That's number one to me. F*ck all that rap sh*t. Sh*t, y'all got cold rappers you never even heard and then you got n*ggas who really can't rap and making money. It's about who's making the most money to me. I don't give a f*ck about the rest of that sh*t." (TropicalTV)

50 DISSAPOINTED IN FAB..
50 Cent has responded to Fabolous' critique of his This Is 50 festival and said he was surprised that Loso blamed him for creating an "isolated & crumbled" New York hip-hop scene.
Writing via his website, ThisIs50, the G-Unit leader reflected on Fab's Twitter comments.
"Reading what Fab said about me on Twitter was disappointing," Fif wrote. "I have extended myself to Fab personally to allow him to expand himself as an international Touring Artist. I thought we were Friends but that's cool. Law #2: Never put too much trust in friends. Learn how to use enemies. Be wary of friends--they will betray you more quickly, for they are easily aroused to envy. They also become spoiled and tyrannical. But hire a former enemy and he will be more loyal than a friend, because he has more to prove. In fact, you have more to fear from friends than from enemies. If you have no enemies, find a way to make them. --50th Law of Power. Am I 50 Cent or Am I Machiavelli? D*mmmm!!! (This Is 50)
Fab initially suggested 50's previous rap beefs destroyed unity among New York rappers.
"Its interesting to c 50 Cent unite wit NY artists when he's 1 of the reasons NY hip hop became so isolated & crumbled..Do u agree NY??," Fab wrote Tuesday (October 6) morning. "I wonder if this is a law in the 50th law of power book?? I guess it was a good show 4 NY.. But if u asked 50 a few years ago if he ever saw hisself on stage with any of them he woulda said H*LL NO! Still 2 this day, 1 of the illest things i saw..Was 1 year a stadium full of fans screamin 4 Ja Rule, the next year sh*ttin on him 4 50 cent At 50's peak his grind was unmatched, image was bulletproof, music was ignorantly motivational & catchy, even classic. most never hav that So dont think im takin shots at 50.. Jus that NY show had me a lil puzzled.. But i love NY so i couldnt knock it if i wanted to." (Fabolous' Twitter)
SHYNE UPDATE
Rapper Jamal "Shyne" Barrow is reportedly being held by immigration officials and is facing possible deportation.
According to the rapper's lawyer, Shyne's citizenship is currently being reviewed.
His release is now under review, as representatives for the rapper revealed that the Brooklyn MC is being detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement at an unspecified facility in Western New York State. Officials are determining whether or not to deport the rapper, who was born in Belize, a rep explained. "Shyne is currently in federal custody while his future immigration status is determined," the rep said in a message to MTV News. Shyne attorney Oscar Michelen emphasized to MTV News on Tuesday afternoon that Shyne has not been released, contrary to media reports. (MTV)
Early reports claimed Shyne's departure was confirmed Tuesday (October 6) afternoon.
Shyne was released from prison today for being involved in a shooting involving mentor Sean "P. Diddy" Combs and actress Jennifer Lopez. A Clinton Correctional Facility staffer confirmed his release. Shyne, whose real name is Jamal Barrow, was charged in March 2001, with attempted murder, assault and reckless endangerment. (CBS News)
Diddy On Collaborating W/ The Lox, "We Have To Sit Down & Have A Real Meeting"
Diddy recently spoke on the possibility of bringing The Lox back to Bad Boy Entertainment and overseeing the trio's upcoming group project.
While saying a deal may be possible, Puff described the importance of a "real" meeting taking place first and foremost.
"I would definitely love to do the next LOX album," Diddy said in an interview. "I would love to collaborate with them. I think it's important just to do...I would look forward to it...We been talking about it. We have to sit down and have a real meeting about it...To be honest, I don't know what the future holds for Bad Boy [and] Interscope. I wanna take it day by day and get acquainted." (MTV)
PHARELL ADDS NEW MEMBER
Pharrell Williams has confirmed the new addition of female singer Rhea to his rap-rock group N.E.R.D. and explained why he decided to seek out a fourth member.
According to Williams, the songbird will add an extra element he has been missing from the group's sound.
"Musically, we're just somewhere else [with her]," Pharrell said in an interview. "The music is now very 3-D. It's something you have to hear. But you'll see. We're definitely somewhere else. I want to leave that impact moment for when you purchase your download and you purchase your CD. The music is very three-dimensional. We're just really excited. We feel like N.E.R.D. has always been the punks of hip-hop and the outcasts of alternative music -- just a little different. But this time, we're taking no prisoners...Now you have this little Tinkerbell that's just stepped in and has been amazing...It's made it a fun process. We can go in so many more directions, because we have the vocal support." (MTV)

KANYE WEST TALKS ABOUT THE "ROCKSTAR"
Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West has broken his silence as of late by questioning, what he feels is, the disappearance of the typical "rock star" and blamed fame as its tipping point.
While keeping his words brief, Yeezy wrote in his signature all caps and expressed his feelings towards "fame."
"WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THE ROCK STARS?," he wrote Wednesday (September 23). "THE FAME KILLED THEM!" (Kanye West's Blog)
Yeezy previously spoke with radio personality Big Boy last October about his fame and popularity as an artist having an effect on his late mother's passing.
The most crushing part of the interview was when Big Boy read a statement from Kanye in the newspaper that said: "I talk so much about labels, calling myself the Louie Vuitton Don...the irony of it all is for me to lose the most important person to me to Hollywood," and Kanye West elaborates: "I feel like if me and my mom never moved to Hollywood she would still be here." (Jen The Pen)
Kid Cudi Deads Twitter & Blog, "It Shouldn't Be That Easy For You To Get In Contact W/ Me
Rap newcomer Kid Cudi has confirmed that he deleted both his Twitter account and personal blog saying he became too overwhelmed with maintenance.
Despite the popularity of Twitter among the rap community including Diddy and Fabolous, Cudi vouched to dead his personal account.
"I have an iPhone and I don't even utilize all of the applications on it," Cudi explained. "Just alone on an iPhone you can have multiple e-mails -- I have two e-mails -- text messaging, some people have AIM on there, MySpace, Facebook -- and I don't even have those things...With Twitter, my two e-mails, text messaging, and my phone ringing, that's just overwhelming. And you gotta think of it like this, what did they do before there were cell phones? Use a pay phone or write a letter. Or you catch 'em at the crib....I think I want to take it back to that. Sometimes it just shouldn't be that easy for you to get in contact with me." (Rap-Up)

jayz might be mad at beyonce'
September 14, 2009. Jayblog.tv just got wind of some EXPLOSIVE NEWS!!!! Apparently Kanye's outburst during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech has caused more trouble than he could have imagined.
According to one of Jayblog.tv entertainment industry insiders, it caused a HUGE BLOW UP between Jay Z and Beyonce.
The insider, who asked to remain anonymous, told MediaTakeOut.com that soon after Kanye's outburst - MTV network execs were furious. They asked Kanye to go out on stage and apologize - which he refused. Instead, our insider explained, Kanye chose to leave the event.
But here's where things get interesting. While all this was happening backstage, Jayblog.tv learned that Jay Z was right there with Kanye. According to our insider, "Jay Z was upset with the way [MTV] treated Kanye ... so when he saw Beyonce do what she did with Taylor - he saw it as a very disloyal move."
And that disloyalty wouldn't go without being punished. According to our insider, Jay LEFT THE EVENT without Beyonce. He reportedly called up Rihanna - who did not attend the Awards show - and attended at least 2 of the VMA afterparties with her instead.
Trust us guys - the drama surrounding this is about to HEAT UP!!!
We'll give you more as soon as we get it!!!

HELL RELL DOESNT TAKE BACK WHAT HE SAID ABOUT JIM JONES AND DIPSET
Dipset associate Hell Rell has stood by his recent accusations that Jim Jones and Juelz Santana tarnished Cam'ron's rap group image and explained why it's all about profits in the end.
While not taking back his words, Rell argued it was his opinionand he would stand by it.
"That was pretty much my opinion man," Rell said about his controversial statements. "It wasn't nothing like [I was] pretty much like taking shots at n*ggas because at the end of the day, we all family. We all got this tattoo so at the end of the day, that was my opinion. Was I wrong for voicing it online or in front of a camera? Who gives a f*ck? That's how I felt. At the end of the day, I speak my mind. So n*ggas get mad, which is cool, but I really don't care. At the end of the day, it's about money. We all got rich. We all rich. Everybody got money, Dipset West, it's a whole new chapter. N*ggas probably mad because they not a part of the chapter, whoever's mad, I don't give a f*ck." (Forbez DVD)
Juelz Santana recently spoke with SOHH and addressed Rell's comments.
"Hell Rell is upset," Juelz explained. "Hell Rell's upset, he has no outlets right now. His only source of making money is for us to get back together which I understand -- but at the end of the day, he know what would happen. So for him to say that, he's just talking. I got nothing but time, he could always come to my studio and dosongs and records with me but he couldn't get Cam on the phone -- I know Hell Rell at the end of the day. Like, I know Hell Rell. He really doesn't bother me when he says certain things, it's just that the game is dirty right now, people don't really have no outlets. Me, Jimmy and Cam were really the only ones besides everybody else, without us all being together, it makes it even harder. Just as much as it makes it harder for everybody, it makes it even harder for him. So I feel he's reaching for a little bit of attention, unnecessary attention. Hell Rell knows what it is...I let Rugga Rell be Rugga Rell when the camera comes on. I've seen Rell plenty of times. That sh*t is about nothing, I couldn't have beef with none of them. It's like, n*ggas is talking, man." (SOHH)
JAY SAYS GAME AND JIM JONES AINT NO COMPETITION MANNNN!!
Jay-Z recently revealed his reasons for not responding to disses from The Game and Jim Jones, saying he does not view those rappers as real competition.
Hov also said he felt rappers like Nas and Eminem are more on his level.
"Not really that competitive, because the competition isn't based on real competition," Jay said in the October 2009 XXL Magazine. "I mean, Game, I'm his f*cking idol. If you ask him and he's being truthfully honest with you it's just based off his insecurities and for the most part, pretension. That type of competition doesn't do anything for me. It's almost like someone trying to set you up, and everyone knows they're to set you up --. it's just dumb. It's not in the spirit of competition, because he's not competition for me. He's not. Not then, not ever -- he'd have to improve considerably. Competition for me -- is Nas, Eminem. Like Jim Jones? That's ridiculous to me. So how do I respond to that? I can't win. If I win, then they'll be like, 'See. Now chill. You're a f*ckin' bully.' And if it manages to throw a haymaker from the West Coast, then it's like 'Oooooh.' It's not even fun. Like, before I did it, because I would diss anybody. Now who has time to do this sh*t everyday? But before, when I was running after the little fat n*gga [Meeno] from Mase's camp, I was doing anybody. Anybody said anything. If I thought you said something. When I was running in the streets, I wanted all that type of activity. Nobody wanted nothing. Now everybody's a tough guy." (XXL Mag)
CARTER DOCUMENTARY
According to QD3, the film will also show Wayne's dedication to music around the release of his platinum-seling Tha Carter III.
The main thing that the documentary shows -- I think a lot of people would imagine that Wayne is hanging out in clubs with a bunch of women and drinking champagne and that sort of thing. But I would say the main thing you learn when you watch the film is that Wayne is a workaholic. Straight up. After seeing this I think a lot of people will respect his process a lot more. We were with him like seven or eight months before he went platinum and then maybe two months after. That's the period we were shooting him for and I remember one day when he got a text from Sylvia Rhone that he went platinum, he was like, 'O.K.' He didn't even flinch. He was 'O.K., cool' and 'get off my bus, I gotta record' His whole thing is he's like tireless worker and a lot of people will be very surprised how he's 100 percent dedicated to his craft...I really gained a lot of respect for him in that regard in terms of how he approaches his records and then how hard he works. I worked with Tupac a lot and I feel like he may end up with a bigger catalogue thanTupac if he hasn't already. That kid works, he's a hard worker, super focused and doesn't get caught up in the industry like that. He just stays in the studio all the time." (Hip Hop Wired)

JADAKISS CONFIMS POLICE RAID
D-Block's Jadakiss has confirmed reports of a drug raid at his Yonkers, New York apartment, which was followed by two arrests, by police last week.
Kiss denied being at the home when the drug bust took place and has reportedly not visited the apartment for months.
"What happened on Saturday was an unfortunate situation, but one in which I have no involvement in," Kiss said in a statement sent to SOHH. "Since the release of my recent album Last Kiss, I have been on the road touring and promoting my project. I am focused on my performance schedule and career." (Statement)
According to police, multiple amounts of narcotics were discovered in the rapper's waterfront home last Friday (August 21).
Two city men were arrested on drug charges, and officers are trying to determine why 6[0xff] pounds of marijuana, 5 grams of heroin and a large stash of cash were found in rapperJadakiss' waterfront apartment, police said yesterday (August 24). Jadakiss, the 34-year-old Yonkers rapper, "is not wanted at this time," Lt. Joseph Monaco said. Arrested were Alberto Lajara, 25, of 108 Smart Ave. and Gabriel R. Henriquez, 39, of 102 Lake Ave. (Lower Hudson News)
The incident took place Friday (August 21) morning.
Sean Fogarty and Edward Murphy were driving by the apartment located at 1 Van der Donk St. in Yonkers, when they noticed a car parked on the sidewalk. Upon approaching the vehicle, which was driven by Lajara, officers smelled marijuana and later uncovered a bag containing the drug in the front of the car. Police also questioned Henriquez, who was a passenger in the car and was also in possession of the keys to Jadakiss' apartment. While being questioned, the 39-year-old became nervous and attempted to run from police before being apprehended. After learning that Henriquez was coming from the apartment, authorities obtained a search warrant for the residency, where they found both the drugs and cash. (The Boom Box

JUELZ VS BABYMOMS
Skull Gang leader LaRon "Juelz Santana" James has reportedly been released from a New Jersey police station on $5,000 bond and charged with making terroristic threats towards his alleged girlfriend.
The rapper will also be due back in court early next month.
Teaneck police charged Santana, whose real name is LaRon James, with making terroristic threats and possessing a weapon. He's free on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Municipal Court on Sept. 9. Capt. Dean Kazinci says Santana's girlfriend told police a verbal dispute became physical Tuesday. Kazinci says the rapper told officers the woman was the aggressor and she had the knife. Police say the girlfriend, whose name was not released, had minor injuries that did not require medical treatment. (Associated Press)
Shortly after the arrest, Santana's rep released a statement clarifying previous reports of the rapper threatening his "wife."

DRAKE INKS PERSONAL MESSAGE TO HIS FANS
Drake has written a personal message to his fans based on the responsibilities, he feels, which come with being "famous" and he addressed the real reasons behind his upcoming So Far Gone re-release.
Reflecting on his career up until now, as a signed member of Lil Wayne's Young Money record label, Drizzy envisioned what he hopedfuture icons would be able to embody.
"People often ask me the craziest part about becoming 'famous' and I've never had an answer until yesterday," he wrote Thursday (August 20). "'You'll spend half of your time defending yourself and the other half trying to stay sane resulting in you being forced to find time to be creative.' I often wonder in a time where new artists exist in a impersonal cyber world of instantaneous information, if we will ever have another rap legend that can manage to maintain the image that our idols had prior to this method of promotion. I am not suggesting that this person should be me, I am just urging a generation to understand that in order to have anyone of any significance in our lives that we can look up to there will be things that we must look past. There are people that buy sell and trade evil on a daily basis...when u believe in their brand is when they win...I also want people to know that I am only releasing this EP so that everyone involved in the project can hold a physical copy of the CD in their hands and see it in the store. And for anybody else who feels that So Far Gone marked a moment in time I just wanted to give you the option to have the disc. If you got it for free and want to keep it that way than by all means I urge you too. That was a gift from me to you...Thank Me Later." (October's Very Own)
