Skull Gang leader LaRon "Juelz Santana" James has reportedly been released from a New Jersey police station on $5,000 bond and charged with making terroristic threats towards his alleged girlfriend.
The rapper will also be due back in court early next month.
Teaneck police charged Santana, whose real name is LaRon James, with making terroristic threats and possessing a weapon. He's free on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Municipal Court on Sept. 9. Capt. Dean Kazinci says Santana's girlfriend told police a verbal dispute became physical Tuesday. Kazinci says the rapper told officers the woman was the aggressor and she had the knife. Police say the girlfriend, whose name was not released, had minor injuries that did not require medical treatment. (Associated Press)
Shortly after the arrest, Santana's rep released a statement clarifying previous reports of the rapper threatening his "wife."
"Police were called to Juelz Santana's Home in Teaneck, New Jersey at 10am after an argument between him and his son's mother. LaRon James p/k/a Juelz Santana was then arrested and after review of the incident, police quickly released him. Santana is now back at his home." (Miss Info)
